Are you an aspiring, enthusiastic Practitioner who has a passion for the English curriculum and developing colleagues’ practice?

The Role:

In this role you will be taking a lead in supporting the development of outstanding teaching and learning within the English curriculum; sharing outstanding classroom practice with colleagues through the development and delivery of high quality CPD. Furthermore, you will lead, develop and implement an effective coaching and mentoring model to support colleagues in delivering outstanding lessons.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic with a passion for their subject
  • Can be innovative in their techniques to improve outcomes through the faculty
  • Can positively influence teaching and learning across the Academy
  • Has a proven track record of improving outcomes for all learners

 About Us:

Weston Favell Academy is making substantial improvements in all areas and you will be joining a very experienced and diverse team.  In addition, our growing Sixth Form is sending ever increasing numbers of students onto prestigious universities and high quality apprenticeships as our results improve.

The academy, led by Todd Johnson, Principal, has a very vibrant, supportive and hardworking team, committed to promoting high achievement in education whilst ensuring that standards of behaviour and uniform are impeccable.  Pupils are supported to not only achieve highly but also to ensure they are prepared for their future through a variety of enrichment opportunities.

Located on the outskirts of Northampton, we are situated in a great part of the country. Northampton has a £20billion economy and sits at the heart of one of four designated Growth Areas in England, with big plans for housing and the economy. With plenty of countryside on the doorstep it’s surprising that it’s only an hour away from London.

In Return:

All GAT academies work collaboratively to share best practice and are supported by the expertise within the Education Support Team to enable them to focus on teaching and learning.  You will also receive excellent opportunities for career progression and access to bespoke CPD from the Trust’s Learning Alliance to enhance your professional growth.

We would love to invite perspective candidates to come and visit the Academy to have the opportunity to meet the senior team and discuss recruitment options within the Academy. If you would like further information on the role, please contact Jo Cosciani, PA to the Principal, on jcosciani@westonfavellacademy.org. We look forward to meeting you.
