Salary: £22,366 FTE (£7,869 pro rata)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic part-time Catering Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team at the City of Peterborough Academy.  

Working hours are Monday to Friday 11.30am until 2.30pm.

The successful applicant will provide support to the Chef Manager, ensuring that all catering services are of the highest possible standard. You will be required to prepare and serve meals and provide a friendly and efficient service to all staff and pupils. 

Working as part of a dedicated team, providing catering services to pupils, you will need to demonstrate: 

  • Working knowledge of HACCP, and Health and Safety in a Catering environment.
  • Experience of working within an education environment, though this is not essential.
  • Good organisational ability.
  • Excellent hygiene and health & safety practices
  • First class communication skills
  • Knowledge of Government Nutritional Standard

It would be advantageous if you:

  • Have previous catering experience
  • Hold a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
  • Have an NVQ 2 in Food Production or be willing to work towards this
  • Have knowledge of Government Nutritional Guidelines and Allergy Awareness
