Salary: £19,650-£20,043 FTE (£16,978-£17,318 pro rata)

We have an opportunity for a passionate individual to join us as a Level 3 Learning Support Assistant at Weston Favell Academy

The Role:

The ideal Learning Support Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups within and outside of the classroom environment.  You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate. This role includes some pupil supervision duties.

To be successful, you must have:

  • an understanding of working with children with SEN needs
  • a calm, professional and polite manner
  • first aid trained or willingness to learn
  • evidence of continued professional development
  • a willingness to support Academy objectives with further training requirements
  • experience of supervising children in a secondary school environment
