About the Role

We are looking for an innovative teacher who is passionate about Geography/PE and able to develop an awareness of important global issues through physical, human and field study.  You must be dedicated, organised and totally committed to driving standards and raising achievement through the delivery of outstanding lessons in Geography and PE.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • is committed to raising the achievement of all learners by ensuring teaching across the curriculum is of the highest quality
  • is able to make positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents alike
  • has high professional standards
  • is able to plan and deliver innovative and inspirational lessons that engage pupils.

About us:

Weston Favell Academy is making substantial improvements in all areas and you will be joining a very experienced and diverse team.  In addition, our growing Sixth Form is sending ever increasing numbers of students onto prestigious universities and high quality apprenticeships as our results improve.

The academy, led by Todd Johnson, Senior Executive Principal, has a very vibrant, supportive and hardworking team, committed to promoting high achievement in education whilst ensuring that standards of behaviour and uniform are impeccable.  Pupils are supported to not only achieve highly but also to ensure they are prepared for their future through a variety of enrichment opportunities.

Located on the outskirts of Northampton, we are situated in a great part of the country. Northampton has a £20billion economy and sits at the heart of one of four designated Growth Areas in England, with big plans for housing and the economy. With plenty of countryside on the doorstep it’s surprising that it’s only an hour away from London.

In Return:

We would love to invite perspective candidates to come and visit the Academy to have the opportunity to meet the senior team and discuss recruitment options within the Academy. If you would like further information on the role, please contact Jo Cosciani, PA to the Principal, on jcosciani@westonfavellacademy.org. We look forward to meeting you.
