Salary: £24,027 - £25,183 FTE (£20,851 - £21,855 pro rata)

About the Role:

The ideal Learning Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside the classroom environment. You will be a professional role model to the students, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.

To be successful you must:

  • possess excellent communication skills
  • have experience of working with young people or children
  • be flexible, creative and enthusiastic about their position

Experience of working with students with autism is an advantage. You will be joining a passionate group of colleagues who strive to achieve the best outcomes for students in all aspects of their lives. 

About us:

Our purpose built building opened in January 2018 and provides 100 places for students (3-18) with a diagnosis of autism and/or Severe Learning Difficulties. The academy is very popular and currently has 117 students on roll from Reception to Year 13. Our students have a complex range of needs and cover a full breadth of academic ability. We teach our students in small classes of 8-10 students with high levels of adult support.
