Safeguarding Co-ordinator & DDSL

37 hours a week, 52 weeks

£29,777 - £31,364 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Co-ordinator and DDSL.

The successful candidate will act as a central point of contact to triage all safeguarding queries and assign to the appropriate member of staff/team, ensuring all tasks are completed and appropriate action taken.

The successful candidate will offer a professional administrative service to the Safeguarding Team by liaising with all relevant stakeholders.

You should:

  • possess excellent communication and customer service skills to facilitate the sharing of relevant information with staff, parents and between other support services and external agencies, as appropriate,
  • be able to demonstrate your ability to work effectively within a team as well as on your own initiative,
  • have the ability to effectively organise, prioritise and remain calm under pressure, with excellent skills in maintaining student files and CPOMS records,
  • have good literacy and ICT skills,
  • be a trained DSL or willingness to undertake training to complete this responsibility.

You will provide support over holiday periods and act as DDSL.  The role is 52 weeks and, due to the nature of the position, annual leave should not be taken during term time to ensure a consistent, cohesive service is provided to the Academy.
