We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SENDCo to join our dynamic team at Ingoldmells Academy, on a permanent, part time basis working 2 days a week (0.4 FTE).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEND specialist with a track record of working with children who have a wide range of needs to play a pivotal role leading, developing and supporting practice for pupils with SEND within our Academy. 

The successful SENDCo will ensure access to the curriculum for all pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within the academy and will be responsible for the effective identification of need, appropriate intervention and liaison with outside agencies.  You will also monitor and evaluate the impact of the interventions for all pupils requiring additional support. 

We are looking for someone who:

  • is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs to allow them to achieve their potential
  • has high professional standards
  • is committed to raising the achievement of all SEN learners by ensuring teaching across the curriculum is of the highest quality
  • is approachable, a good communicator and able to make positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents
