Salary: £34,834 - £37,336 

We are looking to appoint to the role of Regional Catering Manager to deliver the highest standards of support to our catering teams and the academies within which they work.

The role:

As a Trust Regional Catering Manager, in partnership with local chef managers you will lead existing academy-based catering staff to deliver an exceptional in-house catering service across our 40 academies, through our catering management systems. You will ensure investment in their professional development, and compliance with all relevant legislation. You will have a serious eye for detail, like to get hands on and lead the way, be financially astute to support academy finance staff and have a knowledge of working to budgets, implementing, and streamlining management systems.

You will communicate clearly and diplomatically with colleagues, staff and customers at all levels and make decisions relating to the Trust’s catering services.

The role would be home/office based, visiting head office in Nottingham and our academies on a regular basis. Our academies are in Peterborough, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, and Skegness.

The ideal candidate will be an organised, experienced manager with a can-do attitude and:

  • Previous multi-site experience is desirable.
  • Be IT proficient.
  • Can understand and manage the diverse relationships between clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Can promote a welcoming environment to our customers.
  • Be a naturally positive person with a ‘can do’ attitude, prepared to assist and work as part of a team and the company.
  • Be flexible, open to new ideas, approaches and cultures, values diversity, and strives to make a difference.
  • Will support and takes part in change initiatives.
  • Has the skill and ability to spot business opportunities, to generate new ideas and approaches that move the business forward.
  • Offers acceptance, support and championing of company objectives, standards and values and demonstrating support and commitment to Greenwood Academies Trust.
  • Holds a full clean driving license.

Qualifications for the role:

  • NVQ Level 3 in catering or equivalent, essential.
  • NVQ Level 4/5 in catering or equivalent, desirable, with a willingness to work towards this.
  • Intermediate food hygiene certificate, essential.
