Salary: £22,737 - £23,114 FTE (£8,666 - £8,809 pro rata)
We are looking for a Learning Assistant to work 1 to 1 with one of our pupils on a fixed term basis until August 2024.
About the role:
Due to an increase in the number of our pupils with additional academic, social communication and emotional needs, we have an exciting opportunity to appoint a enthusiastic and caring Learning Assistant to work in upper KS2 on a fixed term basis as posts are linked to funding.
The appointed Learning Assistant will be required to work with the pupils on a 1:1 basis or with small groups of children with special educational needs if required. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the skills and confidence to challenge and motivate.
The role is Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks).
We are looking for someone who has:
- relevant knowledge and experience of working with pupils with special educational needs, including those with autism and learning delay
- have experience of working with primary aged children
- be able to nurture positive and caring relationships
- have high expectations of themselves, always striving for the best
- the ability to use their initiative and personalise the pupil's learning to meet their academic and well-being needs
- the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, parents and outside agencies as well as participate in annual reviews, contributing to meetings regarding the pupils learning and progress
- a working knowledge of the National Curriculum
- a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
