Salary: £23,114 - £23,500 (£17,169 - £17,917 pro rata)

The role:

To provide an intensive support service using knowledge of local services for parents/carers. Understand and promote the rights and responsibilities of parents/carers in order to help them build engagement with children’s learning and get the most out of the educational opportunities available.

To be successful, you will need:

  • to have a good understanding of child development and the benefit of parent involvement
  • to promote the rights and responsibilities of parents/carers in raising their children
  • to be able to build and maintain positive working relationships with both families, colleagues and external agencies
  • to be a team player and also able to work on your own initiative.
  • to have a caring and empathic nature, demonstrating excellent communications skills
  • experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
