Teacher of MFL - Full time or part time

Kingswood Secondary Academy (Corby)

This vacancy is now closed

Description

Salary - MPR/UPR

It is an exciting time for Kingswood Secondary Academy and we are looking for an energetic and hardworking teacher of MFL to join Languages team.  We are delighted that our students now achieve above national average in terms of outcomes, and we have significantly improved in many areas since Ofsted judged us to be good. We are looking for an experienced teacher or someone at the start of their career to join our Languages team who can help us to further develop this thriving curriculum area.

Our ideal candidate will have a passionate and uncompromising commitment to pupil achievement and believe in the potential of young people, with a mind-set that all young people can experience success. We are committed to the pursuit of excellence and are team players with a strong desire to work collaboratively. Kingswood Secondary Academy is at heart of the community where every child is known, valued, and supported. The Languages staff are a strong, young, and experienced team of practitioners and are part of the very successful Humanities and MFL Faculty. The faculty comprises 12 members of teaching staff from members of SLT to colleagues who are in the early stages of their careers. We pride ourselves on the excellent support we give to not only our students, but each other too. Outcomes in Languages are strong and improving, and the basis for this is of course a well-planned and sequenced curriculum. French and Spanish are taught at KS3 and KS4. We are looking to introduce KS5 shortly.

At Kingswood we warmly welcome potential candidates to come on what we refer to as a ‘Walk and Talk’. This usually takes less than an hour, can be during the academy day or after school has finished. We find this provides a great opportunity for candidates to get a really good insight into Kingswood, prior to submitting an application. Please email jlawson@kingswoodsecondaryacademy.org if you would like to come in for a ‘Walk and Talk’.
