It is an exciting time for Kingswood Secondary Academy. We are looking for an energetic and hardworking Teacher of Geography to start in September 2024. We are interested in talking to both experienced colleagues looking for a new challenge as well as early career teachers at the beginning of their career. Our ideal candidate will have a passionate and uncompromising commitment to pupil achievement and be a believer in the potential of young people, with a mind-set that all young people can experience success. We are committed to the pursuit of excellence and are team players with a strong desire to work collaboratively. Kingswood Secondary Academy is at heart of the community where every child is known, valued, and supported. The Geography team are a strong and experienced team of practitioners and are part of the very successful Humanities and MFL Faculty. The faculty comprises 12 members of teaching staff from members of SLT to colleagues who are in the early stages of their careers. We pride ourselves on the excellent support we give to not only our students, but each other too. Outcomes in Geography are strong and improving, and a good number go on to study at Advanced level.

We warmly welcome potential candidates to come on what we refer to as a ‘Walk and Talk’. This usually takes less than an hour, can be during the academy day or after school has finished. We find this provides a great opportunity for candidates to get a really good insight into Kingswood, prior to submitting an application.
