We are looking for a Learning Assistant to join our team here at Dogsthorpe Academy on a permanent basis.

About us:

Release the potential of every child in our rapidly improving academy.

At Dogsthorpe Academy, we believe that every child deserves the very best and that is why we need you. We are a large junior academy, on a rapid improvement journey, serving a diverse community in Peterborough. We do whatever it takes to provide our children with exceptional education and care.

Our children love to learn, and we need people who recognise the potential of children to surprise us every day. You will be more than just a great learning support assistant: you will be a catalyst for change, a beacon of excellence and a great relationship builder who can forge productive relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents alike.

Join us in our mission and you will strengthen a closely knit team where everyone looks out for everyone else. What is more, we want you to develop as quickly as we are, so you can be certain you will receive a comprehensive induction and ongoing CPD to sharpen your skills and accelerate your career.

If you have what it takes, your future could take you almost anywhere as we operate at the heart of Greenwood Academies Trust, which maintains 37 schools educating around 18,000 pupils across seven local authority areas. So, the sky really will be the limit and your benefits will be the best you’ll find anywhere, including an excellent pension scheme, a curated wellbeing programme and generous shopping discounts that can save you money on everything from your supermarket shop to your summer holiday.

Visits and tours of the school are warmly welcome.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment. All posts will be subject to receipt of satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure, medical and reference checks.  All pre-employment checks are in line with "Keeping Children Safe in Education”.

The Trust welcomes applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, age or sexual orientation.

All applicants must be able to provide evidence of their Right to Work in the UK prior to commencement of employment. As part of our need to comply with UK immigration rules, you will be required to provide Home Office stipulated documentation prior to interview.
