Salary: £20,812 - £21,968 (£14,644 - £14,909 pro rata)

Additional Information - This vacancy is fixed term until August 2024.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Assistant to join the Skegness Junior Academy. 

About the role:

The successful learning assistant will support the Class Teacher to carry out a range of activities to promote learning and development.  This will include working on a one to one basis and in small groups.

You will be:

  • keen to learn with a positive outlook
  • able to work on your own initiative
  • experienced in working with children
  • able to work as part of a team
  • willing to undertake training
  • enthusiastic and have the skills to challenge and motivate all our pupils.

A relevant NVQ or equivalent, along with previous experience and knowledge of pastoral interventions, safeguarding, social and emotional and communication support for pupils is advantageous.

You will be joining a passionate group of colleagues who strive to achieve the best outcomes for pupils in all aspects of their lives.

Skegness Junior Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust, is an active, vibrant and caring school located on the East Coast. During our last Ofsted, we were rated as ‘Good’ (March 2018). We work in close collaboration with Skegness Infant Academy, located on the same site, to continually create closer links and improve the life chances of all our children. Our lively learning environments reflect our engaging curriculum that promotes a lifelong love of learning.  We have capacity for 360 children at Skegness Junior Academy.
