Salary: £22,269 - £27,344 

Interview week commencing 11th December.

The successful Learning Mentor will support Teachers to ensure that pupils engage more effectively with their learning and help increase levels of achievement through appropriate provision. They will also be required to cover PPA across the academy and work with both individual pupils and small groups. This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment.

We are shortlisting in intervals, and if successful you will be invited to attend an interview before the closing date.

The ideal candidates will:

  • have experience of working with children with ASD
  • be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies
  • be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • have the ability to engage constructively with and relate to a wide range of young people from different backgrounds
  • possess excellent communication skills, at all levels

About us:

Medeshamstede Academy is a special academy in Peterborough for pupils with autism. The age range is from 4-16 years with a wide range of ability. All pupils have autism and some have SEMH and other complex needs.

We are looking for someone who can show enthusiasm and commitment to leading and developing our academy within their areas of direct responsibility.
