Salary: £22,571 - £25,419 full time salary - to be pro rated over 38 weeks. 

We have an opportunity for a passionate individual to join us at the Stanground Academy as a Lead Learning Assistant.    

The role: 

You will provide learning support within the Academy across a range of activities to promote development and learning of students in lessons and interventions, both groups and individual. Some of the responsibilities of this role include:

  • Plan, resource and lead intervention activities for individuals or groups of students to take place around the academy, creating and maintaining ‘Assess, Plan, Do Review’ cycle documentation.
  • Promote the physical, emotional, educational and social development and learning of pupils, taking into account their cognitive, communication and social needs. Foster growth of self-esteem and independence, observe and record development.
  • Establish and maintain consistent and positive relationships with students, interacting effectively respecting their individual needs.
  • Assist pupils with a variety of personal self-help skills that are part of everyday school experience, maintaining records of progress or difficulties

 To be successful you must have: 

  • excellent communication skills; 
  • Level 3 TA qualification
  • the ability to provide support that is second to none 
  • experience of working in a school environment with special educational needs children 
  • first rate team working skills and a professional approach and high personal standards 
  • First aid trained or a willingness to undertake the qualification
