We are seeking an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic team at our secondary school in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teacher who is passionate and innovative, and has a genuine enthusiasm for Humanities and a commitment to delivering engaging, thought-provoking lessons.

We want someone who can, through leading effective teaching and learning, ensure all students will be inspired to achieve the outstanding progress that we know they are capable of. 

You must be thoroughly dedicated and committed to driving standards and raising achievement through the delivery of outstanding lessons.

You will have a strong passion for your subject and a commitment to continuous learning, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire our students.

About us:

The City of Peterborough Academy was opened in September 2013 by Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) after a £13.8m capital build. Based on Reeves Way in Peterborough, the academy has quickly grown from strength to strength. A dedicated team of staff aim to help support every child in reaching their full potential. Additionally, we have been described as a truly ‘inclusive school’ at our recent National Inclusion Quality Mark inspection and have also been awarded 'Centre of Excellence Status'. We were also ‘runners up’ at the 2020 National SEN awards for National Most Inclusive Practice.
