Salary: £22,138 - £27,041 FTE (£19,167 - £23,364 pro rata)

The role:

The successful Learning Mentor will support Teachers to ensure that pupils engage more effectively with their learning and help increase levels of achievement through appropriate provision. They will be required to work with both individual pupils and small groups. This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment.

Specifically this role will work on the identification, assessment and intervention of children presenting with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal candidates will:

  • be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies
  • be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • experience of working closely with pupils who have additional needs
  • have the ability to engage constructively with and relate to a wide range of young people from different backgrounds
  • possess excellent communication skills, at all levels
