As part of our continuous drive for improvement at the Dogsthorpe Academy, we are looking to appoint an ambitious, creative and talented Senior Leader with a proven track record of success, to the role of Deputy Principal. 
 
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated leader to inspire and motivate an established team. First and foremost, we are looking for a leader who is excited and passionate about joining our school, has extensive skills in strategic leadership, a proven track record in school improvement and is 100% committed to making a positive difference to both the pupil's experience and their outcomes. 
 
We are looking for a dynamic Deputy Principal who is open-minded and wants to support and lead on improvements within the Academy. There will be opportunities to work with other academies across GAT, and to participate and contribute to MAT level strategies such as the Raising Attainment Board, Curriculum Board, Learning Board, Learning Alliance. 

The successful candidate(s) will have:

You will be an innovative leader and manager, able to analyse and interpret data to support clear, strategic decisions. You should be an excellent classroom practitioner and be able to coach and mentor others to develop classroom practice. You will be able to demonstrate a great understanding of the KS2 curriculum and be dedicated to school improvement. You will be able to work in partnership with our pupils, parents, staff and the community. 

As a key member of the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of particular areas of work, have significant responsibilities and the opportunity to make a considerable impact on the future lives of our pupils. GAT's vision is to inspire and ensure that every pupil thrives, makes excellent progress and succeeds, so our Deputy Principal will be a key figure in driving this at Dogsthorpe Academy.

You will be an outstanding senior leader with a demonstrable commitment to helping all pupils achieve their best. The Dogsthorpe Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), is a junior academy situated in a diverse community in the north of Peterborough. It is led by the Principal, Julie Cranke, who aims to ensure that it delivers an exciting, innovative and creative curriculum that meets the needs of the pupils. All staff work hard to ensure that every pupil is supported and nurtured, helping them to develop the confidence and skills needed for the years ahead.
